Rescue Robots onscreen graphics and offline edit application for mission maps
Challenge: To produce onscreen graphics and an offline edit application for mission maps for a new Television show broadcast on CITV.

Project Requirements: On screen graphics for post production, within the studio and a map application to feed into Avid editing suites.
The Azura Solution: Our involvement with the project started early on in its life cycle and we were asked to produce a number of concept illustrations for the Rescue Robots. Some of these are surprisingly close to the finished articles produced by BBC Visual Effects.
The aesthetic was envisioned as technical with a crisp and bold brand whilst being clear enough to not confuse a young audience. Blue was to be the main accent colour for all the graphics.
Part of the brief was to produce a number of visuals to be displayed on large widescreen plasma screens that operate a 16x9 aspect ratio. These were put onto digi beta tapes for the Visions OB crew. The screens were overlayed with text in post production.
A map application was produced so that the editors and producer could easily make changes in post production without additional cost for alterations.
Various animated sequences and graphical stings were produced to show time, temperature and speed for insertion by the editors in post production.
